Lately...

So it has been a while since I have posted anything. I got a new job in September and it keeps me pretty busy. It is a lot of fun to be learning so much new stuff and everyone there is great(www.adventuredental.com).
A few big things have happened in the last few months. My friend since forever ago got married! I got to be the maid of honor in her wedding. Here are some pictures of when we went out for her bachlorette party and got our nails done before the wedding.

Nate has finished putting in our new windows this last month. We were glad for the extra help from a few friends and family. Our house stays a lot warmer and the windows don't sweat which makes me happy!

Which reminds me...the other day Erik (Nate's brother who is staying with us) fell asleep in an unusual place and made someone upset...

For Thanksgiving we went to Idaho to visit Nate's side of the family. We also made it in time (barely) to help celebrate Marilyn's (Nate's Mom) Birthday. I got to practice my amazing pizza topping picking skills, I don't get to do that very often anymore.
Here is a picture from the ride over. Max doesn't like to limit himself to only backseat activties and trys to stay involved in everything going on in the car.

On the way to Grandpa and Grandma Hopper's house for Thanksgiving we encountered some cows that were out of the fences. On the way home Charles almost creamed one. Apparently you can't see them in the dark when they aren't facing you.

We got to hang out with our flower girl from our wedding, Adelia, and her brother Rowan. She reintroduced me to "Melissa Kitty" who has made it through an entire winter in a compost pile. She has luckily been washed and is still loved.

Here are some pictures of Adelia cuddling with Nate and Rowan playing. Adelia said that Nate is cuddly and so is she, except "her bum bones and her knees".

After Dinner Grandpa Hopper told us some stories about him being in school. See if you can pick out which kid he is in the picture.

We also went for a walk around part of the farm and then had a bon fire (it was big, you just can't tell in the pictures) and had smores.

Marilyn and Charles took us out to some sanddunes to play for a while. We had a great time together! We almost got hit by a train...sort of. Max and Buddy (Charle's dog) had a great time rolling and digging in the sand.

Here is a final photo of us on the way home.

Well, I think that catches this blog up. Hope all is well with everyone reading this!

Max

Max has had a great summer at home with me. He has been to the dog park a lot and has been able to visit his girlfriend Coby. Here are some pictures of them playing yesterday at Marine Park.

Wrestling and sniffing out the next thing to try to eat before someone yells leave it.

They enjoy sharing the back of Erika's car.

We have pear tree in our back yard that we have yet to take care of. Max has decided it's his personal vending machine.

The look on his face says it all, "I've been caught!"

Summer Time!

We have been pretty busy this summer. These pictures are kind of out of order but none the less here they are.

We had Nate's brothers over to celebrate Erik's 30th Birthday. Kylie is saying cheese and showing off her flexibility for the camera. Oh, to be young again.

Nice foot Ryan = )

We went to Depoe Bay, Oregon for a much needed break from Vancouver.

This was a little cove by where we stayed. The stairs were totally sketchy but we made it down and up.

This is where we stayed. The Inn at Arch Rock. It was nice and we could walk anywhere we needed to go from our room.

There was a great view from the lawn.

Oh yes, it is that time of year again. We even got to do some of Nate's homework together. He is doing great again in his class.

Nate is always the navigator. We were looking for where the whale watching tours are.

We're on a boat!

We had the most fun just trying to walk around on the boat without falling. We did get to see quite a few whales while we were here.
We had so much fun this summer.

Nate's Birthday!

Nate turned 27 this last month. While we had to cancel his birthday party, we still got to celebrate a little with family. Here are some pictures of that.

We also got a chance to watch our 2 year old niece Kylie for a couple hours. I truly think she is the silliest kid out there. Nate was showing her how to talk into a fan to make your voice sound funny. He said "Luke I am your father." and Kylie came over and was saying "Wuke (something I don't understand) fasher".

She was playing with Mr. Potato Head too. She would take off his eyes and say" Oh no, where is Kylie, I can't see her!"

And last but not least, she insisted on walking Uncle Max on his leash by herself. Max looked at Nate and I like he needed saving but she did a great job (the expression on her face not so great, sorry).

That's it for now!

A Dog....A Balloon...

Our dog is pretty much our kid right now. The only difference is you can leave him home alone and you can slightly torture him. Here is an example from tonight.

and if you want to see how it ended...

Thank you Chevy's for the cheap thrills.

Camping Blues

Looking at this picture you would probably think we had a wonderful time camping right? Well, everything was perfect, up in the mountains, camp site right on a beautiful lake, family around , and all the vehicles made it without any trouble. Everything was perfect but one.....mosquitoes. They had just hatched and they were horrible. I warn you this next picture makes me so sad...probably because I think he is the best puppy in the world (who turns 1 on the 16th).
His poor little eyes were almost swollen shut from bites and his cheeks were puffy too. All of us got bit so bad that by the last day we had all had it. Anyways, like I said, perfect other then that. Here are some pictures from the trip.

Thanks for checking in on my inconsistent blog!
